Worth EVERY penny. I have had the Maclaren Quest for almost 4 years, and I am here shopping for a double stroller now. My kids are 4 years and 7 months and I bought the Quest when my older child was 3 months. I have used it daily since then, taken it to Disneyland 3 times, used it on buses, basically everywhere. There is no where this stroller can't go, and after 4 years of heavy use, it is still in PERFECT condition aside from a little seat staining. The wheels, frame and even seat are just so durable that I don't even consider or recommend other brands of strollers anymore (except for jogging). It folds easily and compact, it takes up next to no room in the car and I never feel like I am in the way while pushing it. I am almost 5'7" and my husband is 6'0" and we both feel comfortable pushing this stroller for long periods of time, the handles are higher than most other strollers of this size. The only slight downside to this particular stroller is that you cannot easily access the bottom basket when the seat is reclined, but that has not been a problem for us. Also if you hang something on the handles, the stroller will fall over when there is no weight in the seat. This also wasn't that big of a deal because I just put my jacket or purse in the seat when my daughter got out. I haven't used the other models enough to know if they have these issues. The Quest also has no cup holder but I had a clip on one and also the bag that attaches to the back, wasn't a big deal to me. I recommend this stroller to every parent, worth every penny. Can't wait to get my double! February 1, 2014
lightweight but hard to maneuver Good looking, durable umbrella stroller that feels safe and is comfortable for my child. Unfortunately, however, the Maclaren Quest is very hard to maneuver and to push. Even if it goes slightly downhill this stroller does not move. There is no way of pushing the Quest with only one hand once your child is in it. (my daughter weighs less than 20lbs!) Therefore I would not recommend the Maclaren Quest for everyday use. Versatile and good for travel Originally bought the triumph because it was a bit lighter than the quest but the seat base on the triumph is angled back so my son was always bending his head and neck uncomfortably forward to look around. The quest has a flat seat and I like the full recline and leg lift for napping during long daytime outings like Disneyland. Also a big plus that the wheels lock when folded so you can lean it against a wall or just hold it still when upright. Only complaints are that the wheels get the sun shade dirty when folded and the sun shade is so small it's rarely useful unless the sun is in just the right spot. Had this stroller for 5 months now and have taken in on multiple international trips and around bumpy, hilly city sidewalks and it is holding up nicely with just a little squeaky wheel. One tip: make sure the wheels are unlocked when folding! September 26, 2013
Difficult to steer, clasp is hard to snap quickly I bought this stroller for my second child because we planned on taking lots of trips and I wanted something easy to fold and light weight. I specifically liked the strap so you can fling it on your shoulder and go. All of these things are good and are exactly what I expected. However, now that I use this stroller almost every day I am frequently annoyed at how difficult it is to steer and absolutely can not be steered with one hand. It is impossible to hold a coffee or my older daughter's hand while pushing my toddler. If I try to hold a coffee it spills everywhere because I constantly have to redirect the stroller with the coffee hand. The wheels are harder to push than other strollers I have had and it requires a little more effort to keep it rolling. The harness clasp is difficult to snap, especially when I am trying to do it quickly. My 19 month old slips out of the shoulder straps and they are basically ineffective. Also, the sunshade is very limited and barely provides any shade at all, so I need a shade extension which then just adds complications and more weight. I had other umbrella strollers that did not have the shoulder strap but at least were easier to push and significantly less expensive - and I actually regret buying this one now. If I could return it or exchange it I would, but since I spent so much money on it and accessories for it I feel like I am stuck with it now. July 3, 2013
Great stroller, very bad color This is a great stroller, I love it so much this is actually my second. I bought it in silver which was the biggest mistake. It gets dirty and taking the seat pad off to wash is such a pain. Everything and anything makes it dirty and the color makes it all show. Get it in a dark color if you are interested. July 2, 2013
Its Worth the money I bought this stroller when my son was just a few months old because I live on a fifth floor with no elevator and it says its lightweight. Well the features are great. the sun shade is pretty small; sun gets in his eyes a lot because it doesn't cover much. Another down side was the stroller started to squeak after like a month the squeak was very annoying so I bought silicon spray from the hardware store and it worked great. I love how it reclines and fit through the narrowest and smallest spaces. The stroller looks great as well. O yea another downside is the wheels dirty the inside of the shade when closed. Other than that it is a great stroller. May 8, 2013
Best stroller for a toddler! I just bought this stroller today and I can already say its a 5-star stroller! My son fits perfectly in it and he is a tall toddler! When pushing the stroller with my son in it, you can barely tell that there is extra weight in the stroller! Our previous stroller was a Maxi-Cosi Foray and it was getting hard to push with him in the stroller so I love Maclaren already!!! This is one of the best purchases I have ever made! March 11, 2013
You can spend more but you won't do better than a Maclaren Quest hello I purchased a Quest when we had to take my 12 month old on a flight to Seattle. The best thing about it is the ease to fold things away and to move so easily on busy sidewalks The Bugaboo we had was just too inconvenient and too bulky. Don't bother to waste your money on anything else. This is a great product - now we use it all the time and have given the Bugaboo away. November 30, 2012
